Teen Group FAQs

  • Our groups are designed for teens who are able to participate in a small group setting with some independence.

This group is best suited for teens who can engage with peers, tolerate minor frustrations, use materials safely, and participate in structured activities without 1-on-1 support.

  • It’s okay if your teen feels nervous, takes time to warm up, or prefers not to share right away. Many teens benefit from a low-pressure environment where participation can happen at their own pace. However, this group may not be the best fit for teens who require frequent redirection, individualized behavioral support, or who may become physically unsafe in a group setting.

  • Each session includes a predictable routine with a mix of hands-on activities, movement, and skill practice. Groups are structured but intentionally low-pressure to support engagement without overwhelming participants.

  • CCS & CLTS Families: Express interest to your county worker & have them complete the referral form on the top of the page.

  • Registration and referrals are due 2 weeks before the group start date.

  • Unless otherwise noted in the group description, summer groups are open for youth who just completed 6th-12th grade.
